Description
The front camera is the small camera module at the top of the screen, used for selfies and video calls. This part, compatible with the Redmi Note 8 Pro, replaces a faulty front camera: blurred, black, frozen or missing image in photo and video apps.
Before you start, switch the phone off completely and disconnect the battery if your model allows it. Work on a clean, flat surface, with an anti-static mat or earthing wrist strap to limit static electricity. Use suitable tools to open the screen without forcing it, and handle the ribbon cables carefully, without bending or pulling them.
Once the module is replaced and the device reassembled, switch it back on and test the front camera for sharpness, brightness and correct operation in several apps. If the current battery is swollen near the camera, stop using the phone and do not attempt to dismantle it.
