Description
This compatible front camera replaces the selfie module of the Redmi Note 9 5G. It is used to take photos and videos from the front, for video calls and video conferences. When the front camera stops working, the screen stays black during a call, the image is blurred or frozen, or the camera app shows nothing.
Before you start, switch the phone off completely and disconnect the battery if your model allows it. Work on a clean surface, use a tray to keep the small screws organised, and avoid static electricity by touching an earthed metal surface. Take your time to detach the ribbon cable without bending or forcing it.
Once the module is refitted, switch the device back on and test the camera before closing the chassis for good. Check sharpness, brightness and the absence of stripes. If the current part shows a crack or a swollen area, do not reuse it.
