This front camera is a compatible spare part designed for the Reno8 (2022). It replaces the front photo module, the one used for selfies and video calls. If the image is blurry, black, distorted, or if the camera is no longer detected by the camera app, this module is often the cause.
Before you start, switch off the phone completely and prepare a clean, well-lit workspace. Use suitable tools, such as a case opener and precision screwdrivers, and keep the small screws in a container so they don't get lost. Disconnect the battery before handling the ribbon cables, and avoid static electricity by regularly touching an earthed metal surface.
Once the part is fitted, switch the device back on and open the camera app to test the front and rear cameras. Also check the sharpness, brightness and the operation of video calls. If a fault persists, double-check that the ribbon cable is correctly connected before drawing any conclusion.
