Description
This compatible front camera replaces the front camera module of the Reno8 Lite (2022). It is used for selfies, video calls and facial recognition when the current camera no longer works, is cracked, or produces a blurry or black image. The most common faults are a missing image in apps, faulty focus or coloured lines on the camera screen.
Before you start, switch the phone off completely and disconnect the battery before touching the ribbon cables. Work on a clean surface and use a plastic tool to open the device without forcing it. Protect the components from static electricity, for example by touching an earthed metal surface before handling them.
Once assembly is complete, switch the device back on and test the camera in several apps, for both photos and videos. Check sharpness, brightness and image noise. If the existing battery shows swelling, do not stress it and do not puncture it.
Tips
- Switch off the phone and disconnect the battery before any work
- Protect the components against static electricity
- Do not force the ribbon cables and handle them with care
- Test the camera for photos and videos after fitting
- Never puncture or bend the lithium battery
