Description
The front camera is the small camera module on the front of the device, above the screen, used for selfies and video calls. This part, compatible with the Risio 4, lets you replace a faulty module, for example if the image is blurry, dark or frozen, or if the camera no longer appears in apps.
Before you start, switch the device off completely and disconnect the battery when the procedure calls for it. Work on a clean surface, with an anti-static mat if possible, and use suitable tools to open the device without forcing it. Handle the ribbon cable carefully, as it tears easily. Never puncture or bend the lithium battery, and do not use a device whose battery is swollen.
Once fitting is complete, switch the device back on and test the camera before fully closing the case: photo, video and switching between modes. Also check the brightness and sharpness of the image, then refit the screws and cover, making sure no cable is trapped.
