Description
This compatible front camera replaces the front photo module of your Stylo 4 Plus, used for selfies and video calls. It helps fix the most common faults: blurry image, black screen on the selfie camera, faulty focus or the camera not being detected by apps.
Before you start, switch the device off completely and disconnect the battery if your model allows it. Work on a clean surface at room temperature, with a suitable small screwdriver and a flat tool to lift the connectors without forcing them. Avoid any contact with electronic components and discharge static electricity by touching an earthed metal object. Never bend the ribbon cable and do not puncture the lithium battery.
Once fitted, check that the camera is recognised in the photo app, test selfies and video, then check sharpness in several lighting conditions. If the device overheats or a battery appears swollen, stop immediately and stop using it.
Tips
- Switch off the device and disconnect the battery before any work
- Discharge static electricity before touching the components
- Never force the ribbon cable connectors
- Test the camera in the photo app after fitting
- Do not puncture or bend the lithium battery
