Description
The front camera is the small module at the top of the screen that lets you take selfies and make video calls. This compatible part replaces the faulty module of the Stylo 6 when the image is blurry, black, frozen or missing in photo and video apps.
Before you start, switch the phone off completely and disconnect the battery if your model's procedure requires it, to avoid any short circuit on the ribbon cables. Work on a clean surface, with an antistatic mat if possible, and avoid touching the gold contacts. Gently warm the edges of the screen with a heat gun on a moderate setting to soften the adhesive, never letting it get more than lukewarm to the touch.
Once the part is fitted, switch the device back on and test the camera before closing the phone for good: open the camera app, switch from the rear camera to the front camera, then start a video call. Also check that the proximity sensor and auto-brightness work correctly. If the battery was disconnected, reconnect it carefully and never use it if it is swollen.
