Description
This compatible front camera replaces the front camera module of the Surface Pro 7 (2019), the one used for video calls, video conferences and facial recognition. When it no longer works, the image is black, frozen or missing in applications, and the current part may be the cause.
This is a compatible part made by a third party, not a part supplied by the manufacturer. It is offered as the most economical option to get the camera working again. Before fitting, switch off the tablet, disconnect the power and disconnect the battery from its connector when the disassembly guide indicates it. Work on a clean surface with suitable tools, and avoid electrostatic discharge by regularly touching a metal ground.
After replacement, reconnect the battery, start the device and check the camera in the Camera app as well as in video conferencing software. Also check focus and brightness. If the result remains unsatisfactory, first check the ribbon cable and that it is properly seated.
