Description
This front camera is a compatible part designed for the Tab 3 (2013) tablet. It is used to replace the camera module on the front, the one that handles video calls, selfies and taking photos with the screen. It is made by a third party, which makes it an economical solution for repairing your tablet without spending much.
The front camera can cause a blurred, black, distorted or missing image during video calls. If these symptoms appear on your tablet, replacing this module may solve the problem. Before you start, switch off the device, unplug the charger and prepare a clean, well-lit workspace. Use a suitable screwdriver and a suction cup or plastic tool to open the casing without forcing it.
Work with electrostatic discharge in mind and avoid touching the components. Disconnect the battery before handling the ribbon cables, and never puncture, bend or crush the lithium battery. If the battery is swollen, stop using the tablet. After reassembly, check the camera works in a photo app and during a test call.
