Description
This compatible front camera replaces the camera module on the front of the Tab 4 (2014) tablet. It is used for video calls, selfies and face recognition when the app requires it. If the current camera is blurred, black, or no longer detected, this module can restore the function.
For a successful replacement, prepare a suitable screwdriver and a clean, well-lit workspace. Switch off the tablet and disconnect the battery before working on the ribbon cables, to avoid a short circuit. Discharge static electricity by touching an earthed metal surface. Never drill or bend the lithium battery; if it is swollen, stop using it.
After fitting, check the camera with a photo app and then during a video call, and make sure the sensor does not vibrate and the ribbon cable stays securely in place. Let the tablet cool down if it heats up during the repair.
