Description
This compatible front camera replaces the front-facing camera module of a Tab (2011) tablet. It is used for video calls, selfies and facial recognition when the device has this feature. If the front camera no longer switches on, if the image is blurred, black or distorted, or if the function no longer responds, this part can help restore normal use of the device.
Before you begin, switch the tablet off completely and unplug the charger. Work on a clean surface, with an anti-static mat if possible, and avoid touching the metal contacts unnecessarily. To open the casing, use plastic tools so as not to scratch the shell. A lithium battery must never be punctured or bent; if it is swollen, do not try to run it and disconnect it carefully before working on the ribbon cables.
Once the part is fitted, switch the tablet back on and test the camera before closing the casing. Check the image, the sound of video calls and the brightness. If something does not work, reconnect the ribbon cable and check its position before concluding that the part is faulty.
