Description
This compatible front camera replaces the front-facing camera module of your Tab A (2020) tablet. It is used for video calls, selfies and video conferencing. If the front camera is blurry, black, distorted or no longer launches in apps, this module may be the cause of the fault.
Before you start, switch the tablet off completely and unplug the charger. Work on a clean, flat surface, with an anti-static mat if possible, and use a small suitable screwdriver and a suction cup to lift the screen without forcing it. Always disconnect the battery before touching the ribbon cables, and avoid bending or puncturing the lithium battery. If it is swollen, do not try to reuse it.
Once the camera is fitted, power the tablet back on and test it in several photo and video conferencing apps. Also check that the ribbon cable is properly clipped in and that the screen closes without play. If the image remains abnormal, re-check the connection before drawing any conclusion.
