Description
This front camera is a compatible spare part for the Tab Active 5 (2024). It replaces the camera module on the front of the tablet, the one used for video calls, selfies and photos facing the screen. If your front camera is blurry, black, no longer switches on or shows an error, this replacement may restore the function.
This is a third-party manufacture: the quality is that of a compatible part, not that of the original part. Before starting, switch off the tablet, unplug the charger and work on a clean surface with suitable tools. Avoid static electricity by touching an earthed metal surface and handle the ribbon cable connector with care. If the battery is swollen, do not intervene and stop using it: it must be recycled at a specialised collection point. Never puncture or bend the lithium battery.
After fitting, switch the device back on and test the camera in a photo app and a video call app. Also check the sharpness and brightness of the image, as well as the correct operation of the light sensor near the lens. If the image remains abnormal, recheck the ribbon cable connection before concluding.
