Description
This front camera is a compatible spare part for the Tab E "(2016) tablet. It replaces the camera module on the front, the one used for video calls, selfies and face recognition. When the front camera no longer switches on, shows a blurred, black or distorted image, or stops working in apps, replacing this module usually restores normal use.
Before you start, switch the tablet off completely and unplug it from its charger. Work on a clean, flat surface, with an anti-static mat if possible, and use suitable tools to open the casing without forcing it. To avoid any short circuit, disconnect the battery before handling the ribbon cables, and never puncture or bend the lithium battery. If the battery is swollen, stop using the device.
After fitting, check the camera works before closing the tablet fully: test the camera app and video calls, then check the sharpness of the image. If the tablet overheats abnormally during the test, switch it off and recheck the connectors.
