Description
The front camera is the small camera module at the top of the screen, used for video calls, selfies and facial recognition. This part, compatible with the V10 model, lets you replace a damaged front camera, for example if the image is blurred, black or missing, or if there is visible noise in photos taken from the front.
Before you start, switch the device off completely and disconnect the battery where the procedure allows. Work on a clean, flat surface with suitable tools so you do not scratch the glass or bend the ribbon cables. Be mindful of static electricity: touch an earthed metal part before handling the components. Moderate heat is enough to loosen the frame if needed, but never force it.
Once the part is fitted, switch the device back on and check the image in the camera app and during a test call. Also check that the proximity sensor and the screen backlight work correctly. If in doubt, reopen the assembly to make sure the ribbon cable is properly seated.

- Handle the ribbon cable carefully to avoid folding or tearing it.
- Avoid static electricity: touch a metal surface before you start.
- Test the camera before fully closing the casing.
- Never force the connectors, even if the fitting seems difficult.
