Description
The front camera is the small camera module at the top of the screen, used for selfies, video calls and video conferences. This compatible part replaces the faulty front camera of your V20. It is designed to fix the most common faults of this module: blurred or black image, distorted photos, camera that no longer starts or is no longer recognised by the camera app.
Before you begin, switch the phone off completely and disconnect the battery if your model allows it, to avoid short circuits on the ribbon cables. Work on a clean surface, with an anti-static mat if you have one, and use suitable tools so you do not scratch the glass or frame. Gently warm the edges of the screen with a hair dryer on a moderate heat setting to loosen the adhesive.
Once the fitting is complete, switch the device back on and test the camera before closing it up for good. Check focus, brightness and sensor recognition in the camera app. If the battery was disconnected, let it charge fully, then carry out a few complete charge cycles to stabilise the device.
