Description
This compatible front camera replaces the front photo module of the V30, the one used for selfies and video calls. If the current part is cracked, no longer focuses, or shows a blurred or black image, this module is usually the cause. It is a compatible part made by a third party, suited to the V30 model stated on the product sheet.
Before fitting, switch off the phone and disconnect the battery when the disassembly guide says so, to avoid any short circuit. Work on a clean surface, with an anti-static mat if possible, and avoid touching the gold contacts with your fingers. Use suitable tools and do not force the fragile ribbon cables.
Once the camera is refitted, check that it switches on and that the image displays correctly in the camera app, with and without flash. Also test a video call. If the ribbon cable was disconnected, make sure it is properly clicked in before closing. Do not puncture or bend the lithium battery, and do not use the phone if the battery is swollen.
