Description
The front camera is the small camera module at the top of the screen, used for selfies and video calls. This compatible part for the X Power 2 replaces the faulty module. It restores a working image when the front camera is blurry, black, frozen or missing from the list of cameras.
Replacement requires care. Switch off the phone, disconnect the battery if your model allows it, then remove the screen with suitable tools. Gently disconnect the camera ribbon without bending it, and use a plastic tool rather than a metal object. Work on a clean surface and avoid static electricity by touching an earthed metal surface before handling the part.
After fitting, check that the camera is recognised and the image displays correctly, then test it with the camera app. Then reassemble the screen and check the seals. If the battery is swollen, do not use it and do not puncture or bend it.
Tips
- Switch off the device and disconnect the battery before any work
- Handle the ribbon cables gently, without bending or forcing them
- Use a plastic tool to disconnect the connectors
- Check the camera works before closing the phone
