Description
The front camera is the small camera module at the top of the screen, the one used for selfies and video calls. This compatible part replaces the faulty module in your Xiaomi 12. It restores a sharp image for video conferences and front-facing photos, when the camera is black, blurred, frozen or no longer detected by the phone.
Before you start, switch the device off completely and remove the battery if your model's procedure allows it. Work on a clean, flat surface, with an anti-static mat if possible, as static electricity can damage electronic components. Use suitable tools without forcing anything, and disconnect the battery before handling the delicate ribbon cables. Keep the screws in a small container so they do not get mixed up.
Once the assembly is finished, check that everything works before closing the phone completely: test the front camera in the camera app, in video mode and during a call. Also check that the proximity sensor and screen brightness respond correctly. If you notice a swollen or damaged battery, stop using it and never puncture or bend it.
