Description
This compatible front camera replaces the front camera module of your Xiaomi 15T Pro. It is used for taking selfies, making video calls and unlocking the screen with facial recognition when this is enabled. It is suitable when the image is blurred, dark or missing, or when the camera no longer responds.
Before you begin, switch the phone off completely and disconnect the battery where the ribbon cable allows it. Work on a clean, flat surface with suitable tools, and discharge static electricity by touching an earthed metal surface. The connectors are fragile: handle the ribbon cable with care and never force a cable.
After fitting, check the display and focus with the camera app, then test facial recognition and a video call. If the battery was disconnected, charge the phone normally and carry out a few full charge cycles before judging the result.
Tips
- Switch off the phone and disconnect the battery before any work
- Avoid static electricity: work on a clean, anti-static surface
- Never force the connectors or the camera ribbon cable
- Test the camera and facial recognition after fitting
- Do not use a swollen battery, and do not puncture or bend it
