Description
The front camera is the small camera module located at the top of the screen, on the front side. It is used for selfies, video calls and photos or videos taken facing you. This compatible camera is designed to replace the current part of your Xperia M4 when it no longer works properly: blurred, black, distorted or missing image in the camera app.
Before you start, switch off the phone completely and disconnect the battery if the procedure requires it. Work on a clean surface, with an anti-static mat if possible, and avoid touching components unnecessarily. Handle the ribbon cables gently, without bending them or forcing the connectors.
Once the fitting is complete, switch the device back on and test the camera before fully closing the casing. Check sharpness, brightness and performance in video calls. If a problem persists, repeat the fitting to check that the ribbon cable is correctly connected.
