Description
The front camera is the camera module on the screen side, used for selfies and video calls. This part, compatible with the Xperia XA1, lets you replace a faulty module, for example when the image is blurred, black, frozen or missing in photo and video apps.
Before replacing it, switch the phone off completely and disconnect the battery if your model allows it. Work on a clean surface, ideally with an anti-static mat, and note where each screw goes so you do not mix them up. Handle the ribbon cables with care, without bending them or forcing their connectors.
After fitting, switch the device back on and test the camera before closing the casing for good. Check focus, brightness and lighting in several apps. If the image still looks abnormal, check the connections again.
