Description
The front camera is the small camera module at the top of the screen, used for selfies and video calls. This compatible part is designed to replace the front camera of a Sony Xperia Z5. It is useful when the front camera no longer works, shows a blurred, black or distorted image, or no longer appears in photo and video apps.
Before you start, switch off the phone and disconnect the battery. Work on a clean surface, with an antistatic mat if possible, and use suitable tools to open the device without forcing it. Handle the ribbon cable carefully, as it tears easily. Never bend the battery or puncture it. If it is swollen, do not use it any more.
Once the fitting is complete, reconnect the battery and check the camera works before fully closing the phone: try several shots and video calls. If the image remains abnormal, take the part out again to check the connection.

- Use an antistatic mat to protect the components.
- Do not force the fragile connectors when removing parts.

- Never puncture or bend the lithium battery.
