Description
This compatible front camera replaces the front photo module of the Y22s, the one used for selfies and video calls. When the current part is blurry, black, frozen or no longer displays, this module is often the cause. It is a compatible part made by a third party, not a part sold by the manufacturer.
Before starting, switch the device off completely and disconnect the battery if the procedure requires it. Work on a clean surface, with an anti-static mat if possible, and avoid touching the glass or the contacts with your fingers. For removal, use plastic tools so you do not scratch the frame or damage the ribbon cable.
After fitting, check that the camera is recognised in the camera app, then test focus, brightness and selfie capture. Also check that the module is firmly seated and that the ribbon cable is not creased. If the device becomes unusually hot or the battery appears swollen, stop the repair immediately.
