Description
The front camera is the small camera module at the top of the screen, used for selfies and video calls. This part, compatible with the Y55 5G, lets you replace a damaged front camera, for example when the image is blurred, black or distorted, or when the module no longer starts.
Before you begin, switch the phone off completely and disconnect the battery if your device allows it. Work on a clean surface in a well-lit place, and use suitable tools to open the casing without forcing it. Handle the flex cable and the module carefully, and discharge static electricity from your body before touching the components.
After fitting, check that the camera displays correctly in the camera app and during a video call, before closing the phone up completely. Also check the sharpness, focus and brightness of the image. If the battery was disconnected, let it charge normally, then carry out a few complete charging cycles to make sure the whole device works properly.
