Description
The front camera is the small module that captures images on your side of the screen, used for selfies and video calls. This compatible part is designed to replace the module fitted to the ZenFone 5. It is used to repair a front camera that no longer switches on, shows a blurred, black or distorted image, or has a faulty focus.
Before you start, switch the phone off completely and disconnect the battery if your model allows it. Work on a clean surface, using a plastic opening tool to avoid scratching the screen. To limit risks, handle the ribbon cable with care and protect your components from static electricity by discharging yourself on a grounded metal object.
After fitting, switch the device back on and open the camera app to test both modes, checking sharpness, colours and the correct operation of the screen flash. If the current part has a connection fault, reseat the cable and make sure it clicks firmly into place before closing up.
