Description
This iSight camera is the rear camera of the iMac 27" A1419 (2013). It lets you take photos and film videos with the device, and it sits in the upper rear part of the phone. When it is faulty, you often see a blurred, black or distorted image, or a camera app that no longer launches.
This is a compatible part, made by a third-party manufacturer. It performs the same function as the original part, but its rendering may differ slightly. Before you start, switch off the iMac 27" A1419 (2013) completely, disconnect the battery if your model allows it, and work on a clean surface, avoiding static electricity. Handle the module with care, without forcing the connector or the ribbon cable that links it to the board.
Once fitting is complete, switch the device back on and check the camera app: focus, flash, zoom and video recording. Be patient if the image takes a few moments to settle. Do not overheat the device and always handle the battery with care.
