Description
This fingerprint sensor with its flex cable is a compatible spare part for the Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus. It lets you unlock the device and authorise certain payments or sign-ins using your fingerprint. When it no longer responds, no longer recognises your registered fingers or the reading area stays inactive, replacing this assembly can restore the function. The flex cable provides the link between the sensor and the motherboard, which is why both parts are sold together.
Before you begin, switch the Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus off completely and work on a clean, clear surface. Use an anti-static tool and avoid touching the contacts with your fingers. Do not bend the flex cable, do not force the connectors and align each part carefully. Keep the small screws you removed within reach.
Once fitting is complete, switch the device back on and check in the settings that the sensor is detected. Register a new fingerprint and test it several times. If recognition remains irregular, check that the flex cable is properly seated before concluding. A compatible part may show slight differences in responsiveness compared with the original part.

- Switch off the Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus and disconnect the battery before any work
- Do not bend the flex cable and avoid touching the contacts

- Register a new fingerprint after fitting to test it
