Description
This fingerprint sensor is the component that reads your fingerprints to unlock the Redmi Note 13 Pro. It is usually located under the home button or built into the front of the screen, and it connects the reading surface to the motherboard through a flexible ribbon cable. When it stops responding, fingerprint unlocking does not work, or only works intermittently, and the device may show a sensor error message.
Before you start, switch the Redmi Note 13 Pro off completely and disconnect the battery if the procedure requires it. Work on a clean, flat surface, with a suitable screwdriver and an anti-static tweezer or an earth strap. Do not bend the ribbon cable, avoid touching the gold contacts, and fit the sensor without forcing it. If the battery is swollen, do not use it and do not try to puncture or bend it.
Once fitting is complete, switch the device back on and check in the settings that the sensor is recognised. Register one or more fingerprints again, then test unlocking several times. If the device heats up abnormally, switch it off immediately.

- Never bend the ribbon cable and avoid touching the contacts
- Re-register your fingerprints after fitting to test the sensor
