Description
The Redmi 15 4G depth sensor is a small component located on the back of the device, near the main camera. It measures the distance between the device and the photographed subjects to improve sharpness, the background blur effect and certain photo editing functions. When it is faulty, the device may display a camera error message, produce blurred photos in portrait mode or refuse to activate depth effects.
This part is a compatible version, made by a third party. It is intended for private individuals who want to repair their Redmi 15 4G themselves at a lower cost. Before any disassembly, switch off the device, remove the battery if possible and work on a clean, dry surface. Use an anti-static tool and avoid touching the gold contacts. Do not bend the ribbon cable and never force the connectors. A swollen battery must never be used.
After fitting, switch the device back on and test the rear camera in several situations: portrait mode, daytime photo and indoor photo. If the error message persists, check the ribbon cable connection before drawing any conclusion.
