It allows the phone to detect your face to unlock the screen and authorise certain actions. When this cable is faulty, facial recognition may stop working, show an error message or refuse to unlock, while the rest of the phone remains usable.
This part is a compatible version, made by a third party. It matches the position and connector of the iPhone 14 Plus, but its operation may show slight differences from the original part. Before replacement, switch off the device, disconnect the battery and work on a clean surface, limiting heat and static electricity. Handle the flex cable by its edges, without bending it or forcing the connectors.
