Description
The macro sensor Poco X5 is a small image sensor dedicated to the macro mode of the rear camera. It lets you focus on very close subjects, such as text, a flower or a detail of an object, with sharper rendering than the main camera alone. When it fails, macro mode stops working or the camera app shows an error, even if the other lenses remain usable.
This part is a compatible part, made by a third party. It is offered as an economical alternative to restore the macro function. Before fitting, switch off the device, disconnect the battery if your model allows it, and work on a clean, flat surface with an anti-static tool. Avoid touching the lens with your fingers and never force the flexible cables or connectors.
After reassembly, switch the device back on and test macro mode at several distances, then check that the other cameras still work. If the device overheats abnormally, stop immediately. If the battery is swollen, stop using it and do not puncture or bend it.
