Description
The monochrome sensor OnePlus 9 is a black and white image sensor, designed to replace the rear camera module of a compatible device. It only captures brightness, without a colour filter, which can be useful for certain photo applications or light measurement. It is part of the rear camera and its operation depends on the device's board.
This part is a compatible version, made by a third party. It is therefore intended to replace the current part when it is faulty, without guaranteeing a strictly identical result. Before you start, switch the device off completely, disconnect the battery if the design allows it, and work on a clean surface. Avoid static electricity by touching an earthed metal surface, and handle the sensor by its edges, without touching the sensitive surface.
After fitting, check that the camera is recognised and that the image displays correctly in the camera app. Check focus, sharpness and the absence of spots or banding. Once these points are confirmed, close the device carefully, checking the seals and connectors. If in doubt, stop and recheck each step before continuing.
