Description
The Pixel 4 mid-frame is the internal structure that connects the device's main components. It supports the motherboard, the battery and the flex cables, and protects the whole assembly against impacts. A damaged part can cause fixing problems, abnormal play in the front panel or difficulty fitting the internal elements. This compatible frame lets you replace a damaged part without changing the rest of the device.
Before you start, switch the device off completely and disconnect the battery when the procedure requires it. Work on a clean surface with suitable tools and a tray to store the small screws by position. Protect your components from static electricity by touching an earthed metal surface before handling the parts. Never bend the flex cables and never force a connector.
After fitting, check that all flex cables are properly clipped in, that the screws are tightened without excess and that the front panel shows no play. Power on the device, then check that the buttons, the screen and the connections work correctly. If a battery was replaced or disconnected, let it go through a few full charge cycles to recover stable battery life.
