Description
The Pixel 7a chassis is the metal or composite structure that holds all the internal components of the device together: screen, motherboard, battery and connectors. This original manufacturer part, or official Service Pack part, lets you replace a chassis damaged by a drop, a twist or an impact. It is especially useful when the frame is bent, when the side buttons no longer respond properly or when the device no longer closes neatly.
Before fitting, switch the device off completely, disconnect the battery if the model's procedure requires it, and work on a clean, flat surface. Use non-metallic tools to open the device and avoid forcing the clips. Discharge static electricity from your body by touching an earthed metal surface before handling the components.
Once reassembly is finished, check the alignment of the screen, that the casing closes properly and that the buttons work. Start the device and check charging and battery life over a few full cycles. If the battery is swollen, stop using it and do not puncture or bend it.
