Description
The touch digitiser iPhone 5C is the part of the screen that detects your fingers when you touch the glass. It sends the movements to the motherboard, which allows you to tap, scroll and zoom. When it is faulty, the screen may stop responding in places, respond with a delay or register touches in the wrong spot. This part is a compatible alternative, made by a third-party manufacturer, designed to repair these faults at a lower cost.
Before you start, switch off the device, disconnect the battery and work on a clean, flat surface. Use suitable tools so as not to damage the connectors or ribbon cables, and avoid any contact with greasy or damp fingers. Handle the digitiser by its edges to limit static discharges. If a battery is swollen, stop using it and do not puncture or bend it.
After fitting, switch the device back on and test the touch response across the whole surface: corners, edges and central areas. Also check that the display works correctly. If the response remains irregular, recheck the connection of the ribbon cables before drawing any conclusion.
