Description
The electronic component Nintendo Switch (ref. MAX17050) is a compatible part for repairing your device. It is a battery management integrated circuit: it monitors the charge, voltage and condition of the battery, and communicates with the motherboard. When it fails, you may notice a battery that drains too quickly, charging that no longer starts properly, or an incorrect battery level indication.
Before you begin, switch the device off completely and disconnect the battery. Work on a clean, dry surface, with an anti-static wrist strap if possible, as electronic components are sensitive to static electricity. Do not puncture or bend the lithium battery, and never use a swollen battery. Avoid excessive heat during disassembly.
Once the part is replaced, check that the device starts and that the battery indications are consistent. For a new or recalibrated battery, carry out a few full charge and discharge cycles so that the system regains reliable readings.
