Description
This compatible capacitor is an electronic component designed for the motherboard or power board of iPhone 6S. Its role is to briefly store electrical energy and then release it, in order to smooth the voltage and filter out interference. When it weakens, the device may fail to start, restart unexpectedly or show an unstable power supply. This version is made by a third party and is intended for people who want to repair their device themselves at a lower cost.
Before any work, switch off the device, unplug it from its charger and disconnect the battery if possible. Work on a clean, dry surface, with an anti-static wrist strap to avoid electrostatic discharge. Note the polarity and position of the existing part by taking a photo before desoldering. Use a soldering iron at a moderate temperature, then carefully check the joints with a magnifier.
After fitting, visually check that there is no short circuit and no excess solder, then power the device back on and observe its behaviour over several cycles of use. If the device overheats abnormally or a burning smell appears, cut the power supply immediately.
