Description
The charging connector is the small part that links the USB port of your phone to the circuit board. It is what allows the device to be charged and, depending on the model, data to be transferred. When it is worn, dirty or damaged, charging becomes slow, intermittent, or stops starting altogether.
This compatible connector is designed for the KEY2. It replaces the current part when the cable no longer stays in place, when the phone only detects charging when the cable is moved, or when the port is visibly damaged. Before you start, switch off the device, unplug the charger and work on a clean, clear, antistatic surface. Avoid touching the gold pins with your fingers.
Disassembly involves disconnecting the battery before touching the ribbon cables. Do not drill, bend or apply pressure to the lithium battery. If it is swollen, do not try to use it. After reassembly, check that charging starts properly with different cables, then let the device complete several full charging cycles to confirm it works correctly.
