Description
The charging port is the small component that connects your phone's USB socket to the circuit board. It lets you plug in the cable, charge the battery and transfer data. Before you start, switch the device off, unplug the charger and, if possible, disconnect the battery before touching the ribbon cables. Work on a clean surface, away from static electricity, and keep the screws in a small container so they do not get lost.
After fitting, check that the phone charges with the cable inserted in both orientations and that the connection stays stable when the cable is gently moved. Let the device complete a few full charging cycles before heavy use. Do not heat the battery and never try to puncture or bend it.
