Description
The charging port is the small part that connects the USB cable to the phone. It carries current to the battery and also allows data transfer. When it is worn, dirty or damaged, the phone may charge slowly, disconnect from the cable by itself, or stop detecting anything at all.
This compatible charging port is intended for the P9 Plus (2016). It is a third-party part that replaces the current component without changing the rest of the device. Before you start, switch off the phone, unplug the charger and prepare a clean, well-lit workspace. Discharge the phone as much as possible and disconnect the battery before handling the ribbon cables, to limit the risks linked to static electricity. A swollen battery must never be used, and a lithium battery must not be punctured or bent.
After fitting, check that the phone detects the cable, that charging starts normally and that the port stays firmly in place. For the battery, carry out a few full charge cycles so the device returns to stable operation.
