Description
The charging port is the small component that connects the USB-C port of your Pixel 3a to the circuit board. It is what allows the charging cable to be plugged in and data to be transferred. When it is worn or dirty, the phone may charge slowly, stop charging altogether, or only recognise the cable in a certain position.
This compatible part replaces the faulty port. Before you begin, switch the phone off completely and unplug the cable. Work on a clean, flat surface and use anti-static tools so you do not damage the components. Remember to disconnect the battery before handling the ribbon cables, and never puncture or bend the lithium battery. If it is swollen, stop using it.
After fitting, connect the phone to a power source and check that the device charges normally. Test the cable in both directions, then carry out several full charge cycles to make sure the connection is stable. If charging remains irregular, reassemble the phone and check the alignment of the ribbon cable.
