Description
The charging connector is the small part that links the port of your ZenFone 2 to the power cable. It carries the current to the battery and also allows data transfer when connected to a computer. When it is worn or dirty, the phone may charge slowly, only charge in one cable position, or stop charging altogether.
This part is a compatible version, made by a third party. It is designed to fit the ZenFone 2 and replace the current part without changing the way you use your device. Before you start, switch the phone off completely, prepare a clean, well-lit workspace, and use a suitable tool to open the device without forcing it. Take the time to photograph each connection before disconnecting it.
After fitting, check that the connector clicks in without play and that the cable plugs in both ways without resistance. For safety, do not bend or puncture the battery, and do not use a device whose battery is swollen. Disconnect the battery before handling the ribbon cables and avoid electrostatic discharge.
