Description
This FPC connector iPhone 7 Plus is a compatible spare part intended for repairing the device by a private individual. It provides the electrical link between a flexible ribbon cable (FPC, Flexible Printed Circuit) and the motherboard or module it powers. When it is worn, dirty or partially detached, it can cause no signal, a screen that no longer responds, a button or area that does not work, or an intermittent contact.
Before you begin, switch the device off completely and, if possible, disconnect the battery before touching the ribbon cable or the connector. Work on a clean, anti-static surface, using a suitable tool to avoid forcing the tabs. An anti-static wrist strap or regular contact with a metal ground reduces the risk of discharge.
After reassembly, check that the ribbon cable is fully inserted and locked in place, then perform a power-on test before closing the casing. If the device contains a lithium battery, never puncture or bend it; a swollen battery must no longer be used.
