Description
The internal earpiece is the small speaker located in the upper part of the device, near the front camera. It lets you hear the voice of the person you are speaking to during a phone call. For the OnePlus 15, this part is a compatible component, made by a manufacturer other than the device's maker, which fits the same location. It is useful when the voice is faint, muffled, crackling or absent during calls, while the main speaker and other sounds work normally.
Before you start, switch the OnePlus 15 off completely and disconnect the battery if the procedure requires it. Work on a clean, flat surface with suitable tools, and keep small screws in a tray. Discharge static electricity by touching a grounded metal object. Remove the current part carefully, never force the ribbon cables, and avoid overheating the device.
Once fitting is complete, check operation before closing the casing: make a test call, check the volume and clarity of the voice, then adjust the sound level in the settings. If the battery was disconnected, run a few full charge cycles before heavy use.
