Description
This replacement screen is designed for the G6 model. It is a compatible part, made by a third party: it takes over the function of the current part, namely the display and the touch surface of your phone. It is useful when the glass is cracked, the image is distorted, an area of the screen no longer responds to touch, or the display has gone black or unstable.
Before you start, prepare a clean, well-lit workspace, with small screwdrivers suited to the job and suction cups or a plastic opening tool. Switch off the device and, before touching any ribbon cables, disconnect the battery. Discharge static electricity by touching an earthed metal object. Warm the screen moderately to soften the adhesive, without excessive heat, and never puncture or bend the lithium battery. If it is swollen, do not try to use it.
After fitting, check the touch response across the whole surface, the brightness, the colours and the absence of dead zones before closing the casing completely. If your battery was disconnected or replaced, let the device go through a few full charge cycles for stable operation.
