Description
This compatible screen replaces the touch panel and display of the iPad 2 (2011). It is used to restore the picture and touch responsiveness when the current part is cracked, no longer responds to touch, or shows black areas, lines or abnormal colours. It is a third-party part of the compatible type, suited to this model.
Before you start, switch the tablet off completely and disconnect the battery before removing the ribbon cables. Work on a clean surface, with a suitable screwdriver and plastic opening tools to limit the risk of scratches or breakage. Use electrostatic discharge protection, for example by touching an earthed metal surface, to protect the components.
After fitting, reconnect the battery and test the display, touch across the whole surface, brightness and camera before closing the device. If the battery is swollen or damaged, do not use it and do not puncture or bend it.
