Description
This replacement screen is designed for the iPad 5 (2017). It is used to replace the touch layer and display of the tablet when the current part is damaged. It fixes the most common faults: cracked glass, touch zones that no longer respond, frozen image, lines or spots on the screen. It is a high-end third-party manufacture with an OLED panel, with a display close to the original.
Before you start, switch off the tablet completely and disconnect it. Work on a clean, flat surface with suitable tools and small screws kept well organised. To limit risks, avoid excessive heat during disassembly. Disconnect the battery before handling the ribbon cables, and never pierce or bend the lithium battery. If it is swollen, stop using the tablet.
Once reassembly is complete, check the touch response across the whole surface, the brightness and the absence of faulty areas before closing it fully. During the first few days, charge the device normally and monitor its temperature.
