Description
This compatible screen replaces the display panel of the Garmin Forerunner 245 watch released in 2019. It is an OLED screen made by a high-end third-party manufacturer, whose rendering is close to that of the current part. It is used to restore the display when the glass is cracked, when areas are black or when the image is distorted.
Before disassembly, switch off the watch and remove the battery if your model allows it, so as to cut off any power supply. Work on a clean, flat surface, with a suitable tool to gently lift the connectors. Avoid applying pressure to the panel and protect yourself against static electricity by touching an earthed metal surface before handling the components.
After fitting, switch the device on and check the display across the whole surface, the touch response and the brightness. If the watch has been left uncharged for a long time, let it charge fully and then carry out a few complete charge cycles before heavy use. Never puncture or bend the battery, and do not use a device whose battery is swollen.
