Description
This compatible screen replaces the display of the Garmin Forerunner 945 (2019) watch. It is an OLED panel made by a third party, of compatible premium quality, whose rendering aims to stay close to that of the current part. It is used to replace a cracked or scratched screen whose surface no longer responds correctly to touch, or whose display shows dark areas, lines or discolouration.
Before fitting, switch off the watch and prepare a clean, well-lit workspace. Use a plastic opening tool to avoid scratching the case, and disconnect the battery before handling the ribbon cables. Work at room temperature, without excessive heat, and avoid static electricity by touching an earthed metal surface before touching the components.
After replacement, check the touch response, colour rendering and brightness across several screens. If the watch behaves unusually, switch it back on and check the connections again. Never puncture or bend a lithium battery, and do not use a swollen battery any more.
